Checking Our List #1: Little Tikes Neighborhood Market Review & Giveaway

With two little ones, it is a must that the toys we have can withstand the wear and tear of daily use. I am always on the lookout for high quality toys that we can depend on lasting us for years to come. I want each of my kids to be able to enjoy them as much as the last, which is why I know I can always turn to Little Tikes.

Since 1970 Little Tikes has been offering families an amazing selection of innovative children's products that encourage them to get up and be active while playing. Offering everything from baby toys and children's furniture to riding toys and workshops...they have created a line of products that parents can trust and turn to time and time again.

Having had such wonderful experiences with Little Tikes products in the past, I was thrilled when I learned we were going to have the opportunity to review their Neighborhood Market!

When it arrived on our doorstep, I couldn't wait to check it out. As I opened the box, I have to admit that I was a little overwhelmed with all the pieces.

I thought it would take quite some time to put together, but thanks to the instructions and my helpful hubby, it was put together in no time at all. Very simple, and SO worth it! I mean, how cute is this?!

Once it was all put together, I was very pleased with the nice size. It's not too big, yet not too small. Of course, as with all Little Tikes products we've had over the years, the quality stood out to me right away as well. I could tell this was made well and something that both the kids will be able to enjoy for many years to come.

I love the fact that it comes with all the accessories needed to easily turn it into a bakery, an ice cream shop or even a fruit stand. Between the cash register, play money and credit card, fruit and ice cream accessories...it has it all! Not all toys come with so much included, so this was something I really appreciate. Oh, and it may sound small...but I love that there's no batteries needed...not even for the cash register!
With Kaelyn at an age where she loves to engage in pretend play, I knew the Neighborhood Market would be a big hit. I was right...she absolutely loves it!! This is a favorite around our house and one she and other kids who visit have really enjoyed playing with.

So much thought was put into all the details this product offers. There are two clear sliding doors on the front, making it very realistic and easy to grab the food on the shelves from either side. It's so cute watching Kaelyn play with her cousins and friends!


One of my favorite features is the adorable red and white awning. It simple to pull down when the shop is 'closed', and can easily be wound up by turning the knob on the side. It's located at a height which makes it very easy for Kaelyn to do on her own.

The top of the cart has a cute Chalk board marquee that can actually be written on. Whether you'd like to put your child's name, the word closed...anything really...the options are endless and just personalizes this toy and makes it that much more fun for kids.

Many of the larger play items we own are not easily moved. I LOVE the fact that this has a handle and wheels which make it very easy to move around. It not only makes it simple for us to relocate around the house (or even outside), but also is very realistic of a real food cart.

We have been very happy with the Neighborhood Market from Little Tikes. There is nothing I have found that I don't like about it. I love that it helps spark Kaelyn's creativity and encourages active pretend play. Once again Little Tikes has created an adorable and fun product that kids of various ages can use and enjoy for hours on end. I can see Kaden loving this just as much as he gets older. It would make a great gift and, with it's fantastic quality, one that would be sure to provide years of fun!
