When it comes to finding shoes for my kids, I want to make sure that I am doing what's best for their developing little feet. Finding something that is durable yet flexible is top priority for me. At the same time, I also like to find shoes that are cute and stylish. Thankfully, Rileyroos can make sure I get all of these things with their high quality baby and toddler shoes.
After realizing the need for stylish and developmentally friendly shoe choices for children, Kim and Brian created Rileyroos. Their focus was to bring style, comfort and ease...three important things to consider for little growing feet. The Rileyroos design is inspired by a combination of European fashion trends and American spirit and casualness. Created to imitate barefoot walking, while still protecting the feet...Rileyroos shoes are flexible and have a rubber-padded sole which curls to make them useable on any surface. They are perfectly constructed to protect and provide traction when your little one starts to walk.
I was very excited when I learned I would have the opportunity to review a pair of Rileyroos shoes for Kaden. Although he is not walking yet, I still think it's important for him to have good quality shoes that are allowing his feet to develop correctly. In looking around their site, it was very hard trying to decide which shoe to choose. They have such a fantastic selection and so many cute choices! I decided to go with the Sportie in Aspen color size 3-6 months.

Of course I couldn't wait to check them out. They were even nicer, and better quality than what I expected! Not only is the leather durable and extremely soft, but pushing my finger on the inside of the sole sold it for me. I wish I had a pair of shoes that were this comfortable...WOW! They are extremely soft on the inside and I can definitely see why they'd be perfect for growing little feet!
I really love the soles of these shoes. They're flexible, yet thick enough to offer protection. The rubber on the bottom is great for kids, especially those who have started pulling up on things to stand or are walking. I really like that the sole curls above little toes to provide leverage as little ones make their natural gravitation from sitting to crawling to walking. This couldn't be more perfect, as Kaden is just starting to sit and becoming more mobile by the day!
I am extremely impressed with the style, quality, durability and comfort of these shoes. I will definitely be looking for more shoes from Rileyroos, that's for sure! I already have my eye on these Dakota Shoes:
