Holiday Gift Guide #2: Quote The Walls Review & $50 GC Giveaway

We have lived in our house for just over a year now, and it's finally starting to feel more like a home. Anyone who has ever made a big move, knows that it takes quite a while to get everything settled and in its place. With each month that passes though, I have made more and more changes which add a personal touch to reflect who we are and the things that are important to us. That's why I love to decorate with one of a kind pieces like those found at Quote the Walls!

A family owned business, Quote The Walls is run by a husband and wife team. When searching for quotes for their daughter's room, they found that companies either charged way too much money or would not make custom wall quotes. That's when it became their goal to make quotes for people that affordable and custom if they wish.

As many of you may remember, I had the opportunity to work with Quote the Walls last year to help promote their affordable and beautiful quotes. With everything from bathroom and bedroom quotes to kitchen sayings and more...there's sure to be something that suits your needs! 

As I was browsing their website (as I do quite often for my mom who loves to order from them as well), I came across a new quote that my husband has been wanting for quite some time in his home office. I couldn't have been happier to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review it and new he would be just as excited!

We were sent the Lead Me, Guide Me, Walk Beside Me quote.

Last time I loved the matte brown vinyl color I received, so I decided to go with that same color since the wall it was going on was dark tan. I knew it would fit in well with the rest of his decor and furniture in the room. I was also really happy with the size. I went with the larger one since the wall is quite big and bare, and am really happy I did. It's perfect!

One thing I've learned is that these type of vinyl words can be applied anywhere...bedrooms, living rooms, etc. They look lie they're actually hand painted on, which I knew would give a very professional look in his office. I couldn't wait to get it started!

It was a large quote and one I wanted to have help with putting on the wall so I could surprise my hubby when he got home from his business trip. I had my mom come over and help me hang it and the process when very smoothly.

To start, we took the wall quote and positioned it on the wall where we wanted it. We then used a level to make sure it was straight. After that, we simply peeled the back off, flipped the letters over and rubbed them with a flat scraper. We then (very carefully) peeled back the top layer and made sure the letters were secure to the wall as we went.

I was amazed how quickly it went up given the size. It's a very beautiful quote, and when my husband got home, he was really happy with it. H loves the matte finish and the professional look it gives his office. It was really the finishing touch to the room, and now has us looking at other walls in the house that we'd like quotes on as well.

Given the great prices, variety and the fact that Quote the Walls does custom orders...I will definitely be turning to them again in the future. I would definitely recommend Quote the Walls to anyone wanting to add personality to their home and think they would make a great place to go for vinyl wall quotes gift ideas this holiday season as well!
