SOUND+SLEEP Machine Sleep Therapy System ~ Review & Giveaway

Our first two children were sleeping through the night by 8 weeks old and were great nappers as well. Our three month old however, is quite the opposite. He was still waking up most nights and overall did not seem to sleep as soundly as his brother and sister did during naptime or bedtime. From what I've observed he seems to awaken easily to the noises around him. Whether it's the noise coming from his brother and sister running around the house, a car that drives by his bedroom window, or something else...he is startled easily. I have been searching for a solution to help him sleep better during the day and at night. Thankfully, the SOUND+SLEEP Machine Sleep Therapy System has come to my rescue!

The SOUND+SLEEP machine is the highest-quality sleep sound machine on the market today. With features like the ability to listen to noise in your environment and adapt is output accordingly, and the ability to create dynamic sound compositions that do not repeat, it's no wonder this is a unit that people turn to for a variety of reasons. Whether you're a new mom who needs sleep, have a child who needs to sleep better, or have a different sleep issue...the SOUND+SLEEP machine helps you have more energy, feel more alert, improves your health and promotes your body's natural defenses with a better night's sleep.
Features/Benefits:
  • Adaptive Sound Technology
  • Top-facing speaker for high definition sound
  • Long, natural sound recordings
  • Easy night time operation
  • Sleek, functional design
After reading more about this unique sleep sound machine, I was very excited to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review one. I was hoping this would help give both Caysen and myself a better night's sleep.

When the SOUND+SLEEP Machine Sleep Therapy System arrived, I was immediately impressed with it's small, sleek design. I expected it to be larger, so this was a very pleasant surprise. It sits nicely on Caysen's dresser without taking up much room.
The black color and design also make it very modern. It's something I don't mind having sit out and it really goes nicely with the other decor in his room.
As I checked out all of the features, I was happy to see just how user-friendly it is.
Turning it on is as simple as plugging it in and pressing the power button. Once turned on, the unit starts playing immediately. There are 10 long, natural sound recordings which can easily be selected by rotating the dial. The SoundStories include the following:
You can listen to samples of each SoundStory, click here.

The moment I heard the different sounds, I was amazed with how clear, real and relaxing they are. Each SOUND+SLEEP SoundStory is captured by sound engineering and design teams that actually climb trees, stand outside in thunderstorms, etc to get the best quality, authentic sounds of nature. All of the SoundStories are recorded natural sounds except for the Meditation and White Noise themes. The fact that they are real sounds of nature is one feature that really sets this machine apart from others I've seen and used.

Each sound is long too. Many machines have recordings that are short and repeat themselves. Sometimes this can become irritating and cause people to awake because of it. That's why I love that the SOUND+SLEEP recordings are longer and have hundreds of enhancing sounds that are realistic and natural...resulting in relaxation and great sleep. The top-facing speaker also helps with the sound quality.

There's also an Adaptive Mode and Richness Level option as well. The adaptive mode is unique to the Sleep Sound THerapy System and allows the user to adapt to noise in the room it's in. It has a microphone that listens to disruptive noises and raises the volume or adds enhancing sounds (richness) to the SoundStory. I questioned how well this would work until I actually tested it out. It's amazing! I love it!!

The Richness is a neat feature I like as well. Richness adds character to each SoundStory by mixing sounds to keep them interesting and avoid becoming repetitive. Richness has three different levels...high, medium and low.

I really appreciate both of these features because they allow the unit to suit each personal preference and situation. For instance, if there's very little noise in the room, or you're simply trying to relax..you may choose not to use the adaptive features. However, if you're in a noisy room and you're wanting to sleep without distraction...these features come in very handy

We've been using the SOUND+SLEEP Machine in Caysen's room since it arrived and I have been very pleased with how well it works to relax him and help him sleep better. He is now sleeping more soundly and for longer lengths of time at night and during nap time. It allows us to drown out noises that otherwise would keep him up or wake him up. It's designed to help him sleep naturally while minimizing sleep disruptions.

When we use it at night, we don't use the timer, however...it's definitely a nice option to have, especially during nap time. Using the timer button, I'm able to set the unit to auto-shutoff in 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. I appreciate having this option.

We've been thrilled with the SOUND+SLEEP Machine. With Caysen getting a better night's sleep, we all are more rested and happy. In fact, I love it so much, that now I would like to have one in our bedroom as well. I have used the SOUND+SLEEP Machine when I'm winding down after a long day just to relax and love how soothing the sounds are. Whether you're looking for something to help you relax, or to help you or your child sleep better...I would definitely recommend checking out the SOUND+SLEEP Machine Sleep Therapy System!

  1. I LOVE how the SOUND+SLEEP says that it measures the ambient sound in a room so that it can determine (on its own) the correct mix of sounds to play. It calls it real-time sound composition - I call it amazing! That's actually super awesome because so many times when trying to go to sleep to sounds they seem too soft in the beginning and then right before you fall asleep they seem too loud and you wake back up. Awesome Awesome!! Sounds like a fabulous machine!

  3. This looks awesome. I learned (and love) that it has 10 soundstories - I like that variety over most sound machines that only have a few very repetitive sounds. Thanks for a chance to win!
