Checking Our List #10: Summer Infant Nature's Purest Hug Me Complete Comfort High Chair Review & Giveaway

When it comes to baby gear it's very important to me that it be of the highest quality...something that can be used with each of our kids and last us for many years to come. In looking for products like this, I've learned I really don't need to look any further than Summer Infant and their large selection of must-have products.

I was introduced to Summer Infant this summer when I had the privilege of reviewing their Carter's® Bumble Collection Cozy Comfort Musical Swing. The incredible quality and great features made me a big fan right from the start. I never get tired of browsing their great selection of baby products. When I learned we were going to have the opportunity to review the Hug Me High Chair, I couldn't have been happier. Since Kaelyn was a baby all we've used is a space-saver type of high chair that sits on a kitchen chair. What seemed like a good idea at the time, has actually turned out to be more of a hassle than anything else. It's not easy to clean and the way it's made makes it difficult for Kaden to reach his food.

When the Natures Purest Hug Me High Chair arrived on our doorstep, I couldn't wait to check it out! The box was quite large which had me wondering if there were a lot of pieces to put together.

Upon opening it, I found this couldn't have been farther from the truth. To my surprise there were only a few of pieces that had to assembled...otherwise everything was already put together and ready to go. Within minutes I had it all ready to use.

Once it was put together I was pleasantly surprised by the size. I expected it to be much larger and was happy to find it to be such a nice size. It easily fits in our kitchen without taking up much space at all. I was also immediately impressed with the quality. It is very sturdy and something I can see lasting us a long time.

Something I really love about the Natures Purest Hug Me Collection is that their products are gender neutral. I absolutely love the prints and and colors of this high chair and know it's something we'll be able to use with all our kids...boy or girl. It's also adorable and something I don't mind sitting in my kitchen for others to see.

Of course, I couldn't wait to test it out with Kaden. The first moment I got, we set him in it and learned more about all of the features it offers. From the start I was really happy with the safety aspects this high chair has. Not only does it have a 5-point harness to keep him safe and secure...

...but also locking castors to keep the high chair from moving when Kaden is sitting in it. I love that there are wheels as it makes it very easy to move around the table when we need to...but more importantly, I appreciate that the wheels lock to keep my little one safe.

Once Kaden was sitting in the high chair he seemed very comfortable and content. The seat pad is extremely soft and cushy.

I love that one side is almost all vinyl coated, as it makes clean up a breeze! Kaden is quite the messy eater, so having vinyl all the way up on the seat cushion would probably make it even easier to clean (the top part is fabric). I do love the cute little bear though...isn't it adorable?!

The seat has a 3 position recline which I think is really great for a growing baby. Kaden is a little bit old for the reclining positions...but I could see them coming in very handy for a baby when they are still being fed instead of feeding themselves and those who are not sitting up on their own yet. It couldn't be easier to do either. By simply pulling up on the lever on the back of the seat, you can recline it to a position that works for you and your baby.

We have mainly just used it in the upright position with Kaden and have found that it works great! He is in the perfect position to comfortably reach all of his food on the tray which is a big change from the high chair we were using.

One of my favorite features would definitely have to be the 4 position height adjustment! By simply pushing the levers in located on the sides of the high chair and pulling up or pushing down you can find a height that's just right. This is not only great to adjust it to a comfortable height for adults when feeding their baby, but also for positioning by the table.

When the seat is in the highest position, it slides right up to the table with the tray on. I love this!! It makes it possible for Kaden to be right at the table eating with us, rather than pushed back and more separated.

Oh, and did I mention I love the tray?! It may sound small, but I LOVE that it has a dishwasher safe insert. It makes cleaning the tray so simple! I've also found that it's made cleaning Kaden up easier too. Instead of trying to clean him up and keep him from touching the dirty tray at the same time, I can now take out the insert without having to worry about him putting his clean hands back in the food.

Overall, we have been very happy with the Nature's Purest Hug Me High Chair. It's incredibly well-made, safe, adorable and offers many features that make it great for both parents and baby.
