As Kaden gets older he enjoys following around his sister more and more. I love watching them play together, but am often concerned he will try to go up and down the stairs when she does and get hurt. That's why I was thrilled when the Espresso Swing Gate arrived and couldn't wait to check it out.

As I pulled the safety gate out of the box, I was immediately impressed with the attractive design. I love that the style compliments our home decor perfectly.

With as much time as the kids spend downstairs in their playroom, I knew the perfect place for the swing gate would be at the bottom of the stairs. Kaden is always trying to crawl up them, which makes me nervous as I know he could lose his balance and fall very easily. Having a gate that keeps him from climbing them is a must.

My husband is usually the one to install things like this, so I let him get it set up. In less than 10 minutes he had it mounted to the wall and ready to go. I was amazed how easy it was to do. Not only that, but I LOVE that it is hardware mounted for added security. We've only ever owned the type of gates that that are stretched to fit the wall and not mounted. With the slightest push a gate like that will fall over, so having something that is secured to the wall has been wonderful!

I absolutely love having it at the bottom of our stairs and couldn't be happier with how nice it looks.

Not only that, but it keeps Kaden safe when playing downstairs with Kaelyn. The 26" height is perfect for a child his age and although it's very easy to open for an adult by simply pulling up on the lever, he is not able to do it on his own which is great! I really like that it swings open rather than slides as well. Even when we have our hands full, it's very easy to swing open.

Overall I'm very happy with the Espresso Swing Gate. The quality is great, it's stylish, and most importantly...it's made to help protect my kids and keep them safe. We're loving it and will definitely be recommending it to other parents we know!
