Checking our List #19: Hayneedle ~ Double Level Shoe Cabinet Review & $100 GC Giveaway!

It seems the busier life gets, the less organized I become. When we decided to put our house on the market to sell, I was forced to declutter and start organizing , but definitely have a long ways to go. I have found the biggest challenge is my closet...particularly my shoes! They have taken over! Thankfully, I do not have to face the mess alone, thanks to Hayneedle!

When I first came across the Hayneedle website this past summer, I was blown away. I love the convenience of having so many stores and products available on one site. It not only saves me time, but their user-friendly site makes it easy and fun to browse and shop too!

I was thrilled to learn that I was going to have the opportunity to review one of their many great products, and immediately went searching their closet organizers. As I browsed, I was quickly drawn to the Venture Horizon Double Level Shoe Cabinet in Cherry from their ClosetOrganizerSource.com store!

When the Venture Horizon Double Level Shoe Storage Cabinet arrived, I have to admit, I was a little overwhelmed by all the pieces. Since it's difficult to assemble something like this with two kids running around, I had my hubby do it when he got home from work that same day. I was so excited to check it out all put together!

Thankfully, it came with easy to follow instructions and he had it put together pretty quickly. When I saw it for the first time I was absolutely amazed with the quality. I had no idea how durable it would be, but it's very heavy duty! I was happy to see this, as I know it will last me a long time!

I was also impressed with how attractive it is. In fact, if we had more space in our bedroom for it, I would have actually liked to leave it out rather than hide it away in our closet. I could see it being a great addition to a mudroom or entry way where people leave their shoes. What a great (and beautiful) way to conceal them all!

As my husband was putting it together, we realized that the shoe dividers are actually adjustable. This was a pleasant surprise, as it makes it possible to customize more to the size shoes (and the number) that a person has.

Although it's a double level shoe cabinet made to hold approximately 24 pairs of shoes, I wasn't sure how all of my shoes would fit, as they're all different sizes. Amazingly, all but a few pairs of my tall boots fit in there perfectly! I have quite a few thin flip flops and other sandals which I was able to stack on top of one another, but still...I was amazed how much it actually holds!

I love that I have storage on the top and bottom...it actually helps me keep them organized. I have some of the shoes I wear the most toward the top, and the others on the bottom. It's great!


Not only has it freed up valuable closet space (which I know my hubby appreciates now having room for his shoes too), but it also allowed me to get more organized. Gone are the days of searching through my pile of shoes and not being able to find the pair I need. It's so simple to pull on the handle and have them all laid out in front of me.

We've been extremely happy with the shoe organizer. In fact, we're looking at getting one for my husband's shoes as well. It's a fantastic way organize and free up space. Being available in several finishes makes it easy to suit your style and needs as well!
