Nestle Toll House Spooktacular Baking Activity Contest ~ Giveaway (5 Winners)!

For those who visit here often, you may remember reading my post last month that I was selected to be a part of the Nestle Toll House Blogger Outreach Program. I was really excited, as our family loves Nestle Toll House, especially their Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! We almost always have it on hand to make when hubby or I have a craving for freshly baked cookies that are easy and quick!

With Halloween just around the corner, Nestle Toll House knows it is the perfect occasion to bake up some fun treats with your little one. This year, they are inviting people to share their favorite Halloween baking activities for kids by entering their Spooktacular Baking Activity Contest!

What exactly is a baking activity? Just use Nestle Toll House chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, decorations and your imagination to create quick and easy edible creations your entire family can enjoy! To enter, visit the Nestle Toll House Facebook page and submit a photo of your favorite Halloween baking activity, along with step-by-step instructions. Please be sure to read the full official Rules, located at www.Facebook.com/TollHouse for full eligibility requirements and other details.

So, what is the prize you may ask?! Well, the grand prize winner will receive $2,500!!!! If this is something you think you might like to do, be sure to get your entries in soon. The entry period for the contest runs until October 20th and the 10 best entries will be chosen to be voted on, on Facebook. The winner will be announced October 29th!

For inspiration, you can try this spooky fun baking activity recipe to create Monster Cookies:

1 package (16.5 oz) Nestle Toll House Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar Dough

Suggested decorative ingredients:
1 container (16 oz) prepared white and/or chocolate frosting
Assorted candies, Nestle Toll House Semi Sweet Chocolate MIni Morsels for eyes
Blanched slivered almonds for teeth
Assorted sprinkles, licorice strings

Prepare cookies as directed on package. Cool completely.

Color white frosting as desired (one color can be used or divide frosting and have several colors; one container of frosting will be enough to make all 12).

Spoon 1 heaping tablespoon of frosting in center of 12 cookies. Top each with remaining 12 cookies. To make monster hair on top of cookie, fill pastry bag or small plastic food storage bag fitted with star tip with frosting. Squeeze bag lightly to pipe hair. Position eyes onto front of hair. USe frosting to adhere mini morsels to eyes for pupils. INsert almonds in filling for teeth. Decorate monsters as desired with additional sprinkles or licorice for an extra scary monster!

Makes 12 cookies.

We received a coupon for a free pack of refrigerated cookie dough. We decided to have some fun and together, Kaelyn and I created pumpkins on our cookies with the cookies, orange colored frosting and Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Morsels for the face. It was a simple activity, but one that she and I both really enjoyed.

Oh, and not to mention that the outcome was a batch of very yummy pumpkin cookies! :)
