My Brest Friend Nursing Products Review & Giveaway

From the moment I became a mom, I knew I wanted to breastfeed. I nursed Kaelyn for the first 12 months and am still nursing Kaden after 10 months. It's been such a wonderful bonding experience and a very special part of motherhood. Thankfully it has gone pretty smoothly for us, however, as most nursing mamas can probably relate...there have been challenges along the way as well. I'm always looking for ways to make nursing more enjoyable and comfortable for both myself and my baby...that's why I was excited when I came across My Brest Friend and their great selection of nursing products.

Just 16 years ago, new moms did not have many choices when it came to making breastfeeding as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. With that realization, the Original My Brest Friend Pillow was born with the sole purpose of creating a nursing pillow that would answer all the needs of breastfeeding moms and babies. After more than 50 prototypes and getting approval from actual mom testers, they did just that! Over time they have grown to include things like travel nursing pillows, nursing covers, nursing vitamins/supplements, a nursing stool and more!

I couldn't have been happier when I learned I was going to have the opportunity to review some of the My Brest Friend products. I was sent:

• Travel Nursing Pillow

When the package arrived I was excited to check everything out. The breastfeeding pillows immediately caught my attention because they were so unique from the other pillows I've tried in the past. I have always wondered if there was a nursing pillow out there that would help Kaden maintain positioning so he could stay latched on easier and one that didn't leave me with a sore back and neck after each feeding. Thanks to My Brest Friend, I have found the answer!

My favorite thing about the Original Pillow is its wrap around design. It securely fits around me and can be adjusted so that it's as comfortable as possible (and it covers my stomach and sides when they're exposed too!). I've noticed that it really helps me and Kaden stay in position so he stays latched on. I could especially see this as being helpful with a newborn who is just getting used to breastfeeding. The wrap-around design also gives me an arm and elbow rest which makes nursing so much more relaxing.

I also really appreciate the firm, flat cushion. At 10 months, Kaden has gotten pretty wiggly during feedings. The way this cushion is made seems to keep him from rolling around as much which is great! When I first read 'firm' on their website, I wondered if it would be too hard. That is not the case at all. It's actually very soft and seems very comfortable for him to lay on.

The back rest is also great! I have terrible posture and it's something I know I need to work on, especially while nursing. The back rest helps me maintain good posture, preventing a sore back and neck afterward.

Another feature I haven't found with any other nursing pillow is the convenient pocket. It's the perfect place to keep burp cloths, water bottles...anything that you might want within reach while nursing.

The quality of Original Nursing Pillow is fantastic, and the fabrics are super cute! They offer several options so you're sure to find one that suits your style best! I'm very happy with the two I was sent to review and know they will get much more use! Everything about this pillow was made with both mom and baby in mind and is a must-have for any nursing mom. In fact, it's even great for dad's to comfortably hold a smaller baby.

I have found breastfeeding when away from home to be the most challenging with both my kids. I never seem to have everything I need to make it the most comfortable experience possible. That's why I was very curious to see how I liked the Travel Nursing Pillow. I have never come across a nursing pillow I could pack in the diaper bag and take with me before now.

I absolutely love the fact that the My Brest Friend Travel Pillow has the same design as the Original My Brest Friend Pillow, but that it packs flat in diaper bags because it's inflatable! What a GREAT idea! There have been so many times we've stayed overnight in a motel that I've wished I had a way to make nursing more comfortable which is why I LOVE the idea of having a nursing pillow I can easily take it with me wherever we go.

I haven't needed to use it for travel yet, but I did get it out and use it at home, just so I could see how I liked it. It comes in a small package with the nursing cover and inflatable pillow. I thought it would take a bit to blow up, but it actually went very quickly. I found that it worked best if I blew it up, but left the air hole open while I put on the cover so that I could get it zipped more easily. Then, just before zipping it up, I put the cap on the air hole. I was amazed how firm, yet comfortable the inflatable travel pillow is!

Being so easy to inflate/deflate and carry along, I could see this being great for overnight trips, day trips...even for use on an airplane! I wish I had this with Kaelyn when she was a baby, but am so happy I now have it for nursing Kaden.

I was also sent a bottle of each of their nursing vitamins . I was excited to learn that they offer these for nursing moms...as it's so important that we get take care of ourselves and get the right nutrients for our own health and our baby's health. These vitamins and supplements are specifically formulated for the nutritional needs of nursing moms.

The Breastfeeding Essentials contains 28 essential vitamins, minerals and herbs to help nursing mothers maintain overall good health. With over 100% daily value of vitamin B6, B12, C, D3,E, riboflavin, thiamine, and pantothenic acid I am comforted to know that I am getting the additional nutrients I need while breastfeeding!

Chances are, you may have heard of Fenugreek before. It's the most popular herbal remedy to help increase milk production by up to 40%!

I was also happy to have received the Omega-3 Lemon Fish Oil. It contains DHA and Omega-3 fatty acids which help support things like the hearth, lungs, and brain. These are especially important for neurological and visual functions in infants. I was happy to read that the filtration processes it goes through removes heavy metals like mercury, lead and pesticides which are often found in fish.

I have been very happy with the products I received to review and wish I had come across them even sooner! The nursing pillows and vitamins are just a few of the products they offer....they also have a really neat adjustable nursing stool which I'd love to try, as well as stylish nursing covers and slipcovers!
In my opinion, My Brest Friend offers the products every nursing mom should have to make it the best experience possible. They all would make fantastic gifts for new moms or for yourself! I'd definitely recommend checking them out!
