Holiday Gift Guide 2011 #8: Baby Born Dance With Me Baby Review & Giveaway

Two of Kaelyn's favorite things are dolls and music. In fact, when asked what she'd like for her birthday and Christmas, almost every item she listed had something to do with one or the other. With that in mind, I am always looking for gift ideas that will encourage her love for these things, which is why I was thrilled when introduced to the Baby Born Dance With Me Baby!

Knowing how much Kaelyn loves music, dancing and of course, dolls...I had a feeling the Baby Born Dance With Me Baby would be a big hit. I was right! When the doll arrived, Kaelyn spotted it right away. She couldn't wait to get it out of the box and try it out. I have to say, neither could I!

As we pulled it out of the box, I was even more impressed. This beautiful 14 inch doll is really the perfect size for children to play with. And, although she is not soft and cuddly, she is surface washable and very well made. I can tell that this is something that withstand the wear and tear of daily play (and sleep)! Kaelyn has been playing with her Baby Born doll since it arrived and has it sleeping next to her every night and it still looks good as new.

Kaelyn loves that the doll comes with a removable outfit for extended fashion play. It really makes the doll seem more realistic and something Kaelyn can use when engaged in imaginative play.

Of course, other than the quality, size and clothes...this doll offers something completely different than I've seen before. She actually responds to the music it hears and dances in time to the beat! I didn't tell Kaelyn that she did this at first, so she was beyond tickled when she realized that the doll comes with her own special song and dances to the beat of the music. She even stops dancing when the song ends!

Kaelyn's little eyes lit up when she saw this, and soon enough was singing the dolls song right along with her.

I really thought this was a neat feature, but they impressed me even more by having a place to plug in a cable at the back of the Baby Born doll's foot. This makes it possible to plug in your iPod, iPad, iPhone, or any other MP3 player using the included connector cable. What's neat about this, is that she can dance along to your own music, the faster the beat, the faster the dance!

I love sitting back and watch Kaelyn play with her Baby Born Dance with Me Baby! Not only is it a great doll to play with as she would any other doll, but seeing how much Kaelyn loves singing along and dancing along with her has been great!

Overall we've been really happy with the Baby Born Dance With Me Baby. The quality is fantastic, and the features definitely make this doll stand out from others we've seen and owned. I would recommend this as being a great Christmas gift idea for any little girl on your list this year....especially if she loves to sing, dance and have fun!
