Baby & Mommy Must-haves Event #16: The Woombie Donut Review & Giveaway

Whether it be laying on the floor while mom eats dinner, resting, back play or even a diaper change...there are several times during the day when babies need a safe, comfortable place to lay. I have often thought how uncomfortable it must have been for my kids laying on the floor with just a blanket under them. Thankfully, with baby #3 we have found a much better solution and one I can't wait to use with them!

When Mom and RN, Karen Barski, got frustrated with the swaddling options available, she began looking for a better solution. After much research and months of prototyping, the Woombie was born! It is one of the safest and most natural ways to swaddle your baby...helping him/her to transition easily from the womb to the world. Although softly confined, it is made to allow baby to gently stretch extremities much like in the womb. It helps to comfort and allows for a better nights sleep for both you and your little one! It also helps to prevent face scratching, overheating due to over-wrapping, and loose blankets covering the baby's face.

We had the opportunity to review this fantastic product from Woombie a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it! I can't wait to use it with this baby when he/she arrives. Having been so satisfied with the quality and idea behind this product, I couldn't have been more excited to learn that the Woombie line of products has expanded to include other must-have products for parents.

When the product arrived, I was impressed right away. The Woombie Donut folds in half for easy travel. It simply zips up and even has a handy carrying handle to take it from one place to another. It doesn't get much easier than that!

I absolutely love the convenience of having something so portable and travel-friendly, as it will make it a breeze to take it with us to grandma's house, to a motel, or wherever we might be going. The fact that it folds also means it takes up less space and with it zipping on the sides, it means a bonus carry bag too!

Of course, after admiring it right out of the package, I couldn't wait to unzip it and check it out even further. As I laid it flat, I was in awe of how soft and cushy it is. Seriously, it had me wishing I could fit on it to take a nap!! Both of my kids have given it a try and love it! It's actually suitable for children 12 months+ to nap on...so I can see this being something we're able to use for a while.

The minky fabric is ultra plush and oh so soft! What a cozy, comfortable place for baby to lay so they don't have to lay on the hard floor! I love that the fabric comes in several color choices too.

I am really impressed with the high quality of this product. It's something I can tell will last us a long time and I can't wait for our little one to try it out. Whether it's on vacation, at a family or friend's house, or even at home...this multi use mat will come in handy in many different situations. It gives baby a comfortable and safe space to lay no matter where we are. I really wish I had this when Kaelyn and Kaden were babies. I think they would have enjoyed being on the floor more if they had had something as comfortable and enjoyable as the Woombie Donut.

I had a feeling the Woombie Donut would be nice, but the quality, convenience and usefulness have far exceeded any expectations I had. It is definitely a must-have baby product in my mind and one I will be sharing with the moms who are expecting in my life.
