Back to School with Tea Collection ~ Review & $100 Gift Certificate Giveaway

With a new school year just around the corner, parents everywhere are busy school shopping with their kids. I remember walking the isles with my mom...shopping for everything from supplies to new school clothes. With Kaelyn hopefully starting preschool this Fall...we have been busy preparing and shopping for some of the necessaries already. One of the things she's very much in need of is a few new clothing items. Thankfully, I know I can count on Tea Collection to find high quality, comfortable and stylish children's clothing...perfect for the start of a new school year!

What began in 2002 with 3 pima cotton sweaters and a vision of bringing a fusion of worldwide cultures and modern design to children's clothing, has since grown to include a large selection of distinctive apparel inspired by the beauty discovered while traveling around the world. With beautiful and modern clothing for boys and girls ages 0-12, everyone is sure to find something they truly love.

I was first introduced to Tea this past Spring when I had the opportunity to review a few items for Kaelyn and Kaden. Extremely impressed with the quality and overall style, I have since enjoyed browsing their website in awe of their great collection of children's clothing and women's clothing! For Fall 2011, they traveled to Mexico to be inspired by the color and culture. The girl's collection has a Modern Mexico accent while the boy's pieces are outfitted in super stripes and the magical spirit of Mayan jaguars. Known for their versatility, this Fall Collection is no different. With the ability to create mix-and-match outfits easily, it's perfect for Back to School!

We were sent a few items from the new Fall 2011 Collection to review.


When the Tea Collection clothing arrived, I couldn't wait to check them out. Upon pulling them out of the package, I was once again very impressed with the style and quality of each item.

Kaelyn received the Marimba Mini Dress, Skinny Stretch Leggings, and Hacienda Stripe Dress.

She absolutely loves dresses of any kind, so I knew right away that these would be a big hit! I was right!! She was thrilled. What I loved right away was that these three items could easily be used to make a number of different outfits. With school starting for many, versatility is a great way to keep your kids looking great without having to buy a closet full of clothing. I love it!

Of course, the quality also impressed me too. Each item is thick and something that I know will last us a long time. Kaelyn has worn them several times and after each washing they all look good as new!

I love how cute and stylish both the dresses are. They are perfect for the warmer weather we've been having, but will also be great for Fall and Winter as well. Kaelyn could easily put a long sleeve shirt underneath them and wear the leggings for a super cute and warm outfit. Again, the versatility is something I absolutely love about Tea's clothing! She could also wear the leggings separately with another shirt and make a whole new outfit.

Many people have complimented how cute and stylish the dresses are when Kaelyn wears them. The unique look and great quality really stands out! Kaelyn's favorite feature is definitely the pockets on each of the dresses.
She has also commented how comfortable they are. With a more loose, comfortable fit...it's something she can easily wear around the house or out and about. As she starts preschool...I know these high quality, comfortable and cute Girls Clothes will be just perfect!


Kaden was sent the Surplus Playwear Pants, Jaguares de Chiapas Tee, and Equipo Nahual Tee.

As I checked out each of the Boys Clothing items we received, I fell in love with the style and colors. I absolutely love the green and light/dark blue shirts. They're something that I knew would easily go with many things in Kaden's closet...not to mention the super cute pants he received from Tea!

The graphics are always unique and really make these shirts stand out amongst the rest. The small details that Tea puts into their clothing is what really impresses me each and every time. They're stylish and above all, high quality so parents know they are getting clothing that will last their children a very long time!

Once again, I love the fact that these three items can be mix and matched to create a number of outfits. Kaden has worn them several times since we received them...and like Kaelyn, always receives compliments on how cute his clothes are.

The tees fit really well, and since he's the type that gets hot easily...I know he'll get much use out of these over the coming cooler months. They've also been perfect this summer as well!

Kaden has shorter legs, so the pants fit a little long. I was happy to see that he has room to grow into them though, and know he'll be able to easily wear them through winter and even into spring. They're absolutely adorable and on cooler days, he's already worn them and seems very comfortable in them, especially with the handy adjustable waist.

Overall we've been very impressed with the Fall 2011 Collection items we were sent from Tea Collection! Each one is versatile, comfortable, fashionable and best of all...well made. Once again, Tea did not disappoint! I would highly recommend their Kids Clothes with the new school year upon us.
