Whenever I'm getting dressed up for church, a wedding, a special dinner, etc..I always like to look my best. However, the problem I often have is finding clothes that I think are flattering and slimming on me. I've always considered shapewear, but had never given it a try. As I browsed the Vedette website, I was impressed with their extensive line of body shapers, waist cinchers, derriere enhancers, compression garments and post-surgery girdles. As someone who has never tried shapewear, but has always been interested in seeing how I'd like it...I was thrilled when asked if I'd like to review one of their great pieces.

When the shapewear arrived, I was excited to try it out. I was impressed right away with the way it came packaged. I love when companies take the time to package their products with such care.
As I pulled the full body shaper out of the bag, I could tell right away that the quality is fantastic! The Nylon/Latex/Spandex/Cotton material is thick and something I can tell will last a long time!
Of course, my biggest question was how well would I like it on. When I first put it on, I was surprised with how snug it is. I went with the size that the size guide said I should be on the Vedette website. The site does say that their sizes run small though. Although the Stephanie does work well for me...I think a size Medium may have been a little bit more comfortable. I will say though, that once I had it on, it really did slim my midriff and banishes any bulges in my a stomach area, back and thighs. I was really impressed with how slimming it really was! I understand that's the point of shapewear, but didn't expect the results to be this great!
To make the shapewear even more comfortable to wear, it has adjustable straps and an open cotton gusset. I love that the straps are so thin, as it makes it easier to wear with almost any dress or outfit.
I also like that it's a full body shaper, as I will be able to wear it with dresses, pants, etc. The versatility is really exactly what I've been looking for and I'm so happy to have found Vedette!
I received this shapewear before I was pregnant, and obviously won't be wearing it again until after the baby now. However, knowing how well it flattened out my imperfections...I'm looking forward to wearing it again after the pregnancy! It will be my motivation to get back down to my pre-pregnancy size!
Overall I've been very impressed. I am happy to have come across Vedette Shapewear and will definitely be recommending their high quality items to others I know.
