As a busy mom of two little ones, I find one of my favorite things to do after a long day of taking care of the kids, fixing meals, cleaning, running errands and doing other daily tasks, is relax. I often feel exhausted and tense. I would love a massage every day if I could afford it, but now may have found the next best thing thanks to Wind & Weather.

Out of a passion for all things weather-related, Wind & Weather was born in 1976. Over the years they have expanded to include not only a large collection of top brand weather instruments ...but also supplies like binoculars, watches and radios as well as garden decor and even products for the home. With a collection like this, the wealth of knowledge and experience they have, and the dedication to making sure customers are always satisfied, it's no wonder they've become a world-trusted company.

Wind & Weather offers a great selection of products, including weather stations like the one I was able to review back in November. They also offer a number of other things, including gifts for her (perfect for Mother's Day just around corner)! As I browsed through the different items, the Heated Massage Mat stuck out to me right away and I couldn't have been happier to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review it.
Features/Benefits:

  • Nine massage motors deliver vibrating waves
  • Comfortable built-in support pillow
  • Reversible fabric
  • Soothing heat
  • Portable
  • Multifunction controller
As someone who deals with extreme tension in my neck, shoulders and shoulder blades I was really excited when the Heated Massage Mat arrived on my doorstep and couldn't wait to check it out!

Upon pulling it out of the box I was immediately impressed with the size. Although 72"L x 23-1/2"W seems quite large when laid out, it's lightweight and rolls up very nicely and is easy to move from the sofa, to the bed, to the floor, etc. It can be used pretty much anywhere, but works best on a soft surface.

I was also very pleased with how soft and cushy the mat is (the fabric is reversible and both sides are very soft). The pillow is extremely padded as well. When I'm laying down I needed that added support for my neck and head, so the built-in support pillow is much appreciated. I could tell the quality is fantastic and that this is something that will last us a long time!

Of course, I couldn't wait to try it out. I plugged it in (it has a great long cord which makes it easy to use) and grabbed the multifunction controller. I was amazed with how much this controller can do. Not only can you use the heat setting if you want by simply pushing the button, but there are also separate settings to massage different parts of the body: neck/shoulders, back, thighs, and calves. These can be used all together, or separately depending where you have the most tension and stress.

My husband and I have each tried out the different settings and agree that the vibrating waves deliver a very relaxing experience. I especially like the heat and neck/shoulder setting, as this is where I am tense most of the time. My husband on the other hand, prefers having all nine massage motors running for an all body type of massage. And, although it doesn't have the type of massage rollers that move and 'knead' your muscles like an actual massage, the vibrating motors are very soothing and relaxing. It is a great way to wind down and relax at the end of the day and between the heat and vibration really does seem to help relieve tension and stress. I love it! And, so does my husband....

I have been very happy with the Heated Massage Mat and think it would make a terrific Mother's Day gift this year! In fact, Wind & Weather offers many great gift ideas you'll definitely want to check out. Whether you're looking for indoor our outdoor gifts...they have it all!
