Infiniti by Conair You Curl Review & Giveaway

With two little ones, I rarely have time to do much with my hair. My typical routine is blow drying and straightening. It's not the most glamorous, but it's quick and easy. I see women with beautiful curls and would love to have that look, but always have thought it would be too time-consuming, and more of a hassle than it's worth. Thanks to Conair, I have found that it is possible!


When I read about the Infiniti by Conair You Curl, I couldn't help but ask myself...could a curling iron without a clamp really be that easy to use and result in soft, beautiful curls?! I have never been a big fan of curling irons because of the clamp and my hair getting caught or it leaving kinks in my hair. A curling iron without a clip was a new concept to me, and one I was very excited about having the opportunity to test out for myself.

When it arrived, I couldn't wait to use it.

With the touch of a button, I was able to set it to the temperature I wanted. With 30 second instant heat, it was ready to use in no time!

You may be wondering how to use a curling iron like this. It's actually very simple. It took a little getting used to as I was nervous I was going to burn my fingers, but I caught on pretty quickly and have found it to be a very fast and easy way to get great looking curls.

1.Take a 1-inch wide section of hair, starting 2 inches from the scalp.

2.Wind the section of hair around the thicker portion of the barrel toward the cool tip.

3.Hold the end of the hair in place at the cool tip for 5 to 8 seconds depending on hair type, and then release.

4.Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hair style you desire.

It's really that easy. By simply wrapping my hair around the barrel, holding it for a few seconds and then releasing, I was able to create soft curls. I think if I had longer hair it would make even more beautiful curls and would be even easier to wrap my hair around the barrel. The best part is, it leaves no kinks and my hair is not forever getting stuck in the clamp. The fact that there's no clip also gives me more freedom to have whatever kind of curls I want. For tighter curls...you simply roll less hair. For looser curls, you roll more hair. The cone-shaped barrel helps to give beautiful, less-structured curls. Curls start closer to the root, allow more volume through the middle and tighter curls at the bottom.


When I am styling my hair, the last thing I want to have to worry about is frizz and static. That's where the powerful ceramic heater comes in. It features tourmaline helps to provide more protection, reduces frizz and helps to eliminate dreaded static. It also instantly restores ultra high heat (400º), and the 5 LED settings provide the ideal temperatures for all hair types!

Overall I'm very impressed with the You Curl! I love the idea of no clamp, and although it did take some getting used to, it's been easy to use and gives great curls in a short amount of time.
