Kaelyn is quite the girly girl. She loves having her hair done and lately, all she wants to wear are sundresses (or as she calls them, her princess dresses). She's also very much into dancing, especially when she sees any sort of ballet on the television. That's why I was very excited when I came across Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake.
Having daughters who love to dance, producers, Stephanie Troeller and Mary Kate Mellow found the inspiration they needed to create the Prima Princessa DVD series. Between their dee
p desire to bring the beauty and wonder of ballet into the lives of young children, and the goal to inspire a trend in children's programming towards the arts....they have put together a series that will raise the bar of entertainment to be culturally and intellectually enriching as well as fun! Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake is a 40 minute DVD perfect for any little princess. When the Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake DVD arrived, I was very excited to watch it with Kaelyn. I had a feeling she would just love it...and I was right! It's one of her favorite things to watch now.
There are short clips of the world-renowned Paris Opera Ballet performing excerpts from Swan Lake. It's narrated by a cute cartoon fairy ballerina, Prima Princessa. Between acts, Prima Princessa guides a group of little girls through ballet steps and what the term is for each. This is probably Kaelyn's favorite part! She enjoys the cartoon character, as well as dancing along with the little girls and learning the steps and terms.
She gets dancing around our living room and even includes her brother and dolls! :)
I love how kid-friendly this DVD is. It's educational, fun and interactive. Kaelyn is only two, and still has a blast watching and dancing along. I know this will be a favorite around our house for many years to come!
Do you have a little one who loves to be a princess or dance? If so, I would definitely recommend checking out the adorable Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake.
