Creativity For Kids ~ Faber-Castell Paint By Number Kit Review and Giveaway

I love the warmer weather Spring brings! Unfortunately though, it also brings rain, and a lot of it usually! On rainy days when we can't be outdoors, I am always trying to think up new and fun things Kaelyn and I can do together that encourage learning and creativity. I love seeing her learn and having fun while doing so. That's why I'm always drawn to Creativity For Kids and their large variety of products that spark curiosity and encourage creativity and learning! I have had the opportunity to review different products from them in the past, and was very happy to have the chance to do so again.

For those who aren't familiar with Creativity For kids, their mission as found on their website is: To provide children with experiences that stimulate and encourage their natural creativity. Our open-ended products offer fun-filled opportunities for children to create, pretend, explore and learn! I found this statement to be very true of their products once again, as we reviewed their NEW Faber-Castell Paint By Number Cupcake Pop-Art Kit.

When it arrived I couldn't wait to work on it with her! She loves hands-on activities like this, and I knew it would be a hit! I was right, she absolutely LOVED it! It is recommended for ages 8 and up...however, I found it to be a fun one for Kaelyn and I to do together. She's only 2 1/2 but is already very interested in numbers and recognizes many of them. This 'project' was one that actually helped promote further learning on something she's already interested in learning more about which is great!


It is an especially appealing activity for children who enjoy art and 'creating'! Kaelyn really enjoyed painting the cupcakes and together we talked about the numbers along the way. In the end, I let her paint it however she wanted because the whole process was more meaningful to her that way. It was just about having fun and also allowed for her to work on those fine motor skills at the same time! There was still a lot of learning that took place and I love that! I can see where older children would love an activity like this and creating their own 'masterpiece'! Obviously the number guide would be used more by them then it was by Kaelyn. She still really enjoyed the activity though, and so did I. It was fun to see the finished product and to see her smiling face so proud of the work she had done. I love that Creativity For Kids activities can be modified for kids of all ages and still allow for learning to take place.

Overall I really thought this was a great activity. The kit comes with everything you need to create your work of art. It would be fun to try some of their other Paint By Number sets as well....like the Paint By Number Tree Frog and Paint By Number Fairy Princess!
